​1. Inherent Risks of Buhurt

​

Buhurt is a full-contact sport that involves significant risks. By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks, which include but are not limited to:

• Minor injuries: such as bruises, cuts, and ligament strains that may heal within weeks.

• Major injuries: such as broken bones, concussions, or other serious physical harm.

• Severe injuries or death: in rare and extreme circumstances.

2. Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk

By signing this waiver, you confirm that:

1. You are aware of and understand the inherent risks associated with participating in Buhurt.

2. You voluntarily assume all risks related to your participation in AMCF and its affiliated club activities.

3. You acknowledge that these activities can lead to serious injury or death.

4. Release of Liability

​

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you:

1. Unconditionally release AMCF, its affiliated clubs, executives, officers, employees, volunteers (including marshals and squires), and event organisers from any and all liability for personal injury, death, or property damage arising from your participation, including any claims based on negligence.

2. Agree not to make any claims against AMCF or its affiliated clubs for any injury or damage suffered during participation.

4. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AMCF, its affiliated clubs, and associated persons from any claims, actions, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) that may arise out of your participation in AMCF or affiliated club activities.

5. Health and Fitness Confirmation

​

By signing this waiver, you confirm that:

1. You are physically fit and capable of participating in Buhurt.

2. You have not been advised otherwise by a medical professional.

3. You agree to seek medical advice if you have any health concerns regarding your ability to participate in Buhurt.

6. Insurance Coverage

​

AMCF provides a group insurance policy that covers public liability but does not include personal liability insurance for participants. This means:

1. The insurance covers AMCF and its affiliated clubs for public liability, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and covering third-party claims.

2. Personal injuries sustained by participants are not covered under this policy. Participants are encouraged to obtain their own personal accident and personal liability insurance.

3. Many Australian insurers offer personal liability cover as part of home and contents insurance policies. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider to seek this insurance, whether it be a standalone policy or an adequate cover that forms part of a larger policy such as contents insurance.

7. General Terms and Conditions

​

Membership is dependent on the following:

1. Members must be aged 18 or older to join and participate in the activities of AMCF or its affiliated clubs.
2. You agree to comply with all prescribed rules, regulations, and codes of conduct issued by AMCF.
3. You understand that payment for membership is non-refundable.
4. AMCF reserves the right to cancel your membership if you fail to abide by these terms or conditions.

8. Jurisdiction

​

This waiver is governed by the laws of the state or territory in which the activities take place. Any legal disputes must be filed in the relevant jurisdiction.

9. Implicit Agreement to Terms

​

By applying for membership, renewing membership, or continuing to hold membership with AMCF, you agree to be bound by this waiver. You have read and understood the terms set forth in this document and waive your rights freely and voluntarily without any inducement, assurance, or guarantee being made to you.
